- The Jessie Hall Hemispherectomy Scholarship -

The Jessie Hall Hemispherectomy Scholarship is a scholarship awarded annually to young people that have undergone a hemispherectomy and who have been accepted into an institution of higher learning. The number and amount of the scholarship will be dependent upon the number of applicants and availability of funding.

Applicants will be required to provide the following information:

  1. Year of hemispherectomy and hospital
  2. Proof of enrollment in collegiate or graduate studies
  3. U.S. Citizen

** Applicants must submit an essay that addresses the following question:

What is Your Greatest Hemispherectomy Challenge and How Did You Overcome It?

Applications and essay must be submitted by June 30 to the email address below. Winners are notified during July.

The awards are to be applied toward educational costs at an accredited College, University, and/or approved Vocational Trade School. Funds are to be used at the discretion of the recipients (i.e. tuition, room and board, books, misc., etc.).

The scholarships are not renewable. However, applicants my apply again and if funds are available, will be considered for another scholarship. No person involved in The Jessica Hall Hemispherectomy Scholarship process shall make judgement based upon race, religion, or sex of the applicant.

Repayment of this scholarship is not required unless the application is found to be fraudulent.

It is our hope and dream that eventually, through the generosity of others, The Jessie Hall Hemispherectomy Scholarship can help all children who have undergone this radical surgical proceedure. Whether to attend College, Junior College, Trade School or Camps throughout the U.S.
